December Destination: CZECH REPUBLIC
»Czech Christmas Nuts«
Our Chocolate Journey 2024 is coming to an end and, of course, we are rounding off the Christmas month of December with a fitting, wintery biscuit. We took a look at our neighbouring country, the Czech Republic, and discovered beautiful Chocolate Shortcrust Nuts, which we fill with either delicious Milk Cooking Chocolate or Dark Nougat Chocolate. These little delicacies, which resemble walnuts and are also known as ‘magic nuts’ in Russia, require small, half nut moulds, which are available in metal or silicone.
November Destination: SWEDEN
»Swedish Dammsugare Punsh Rolls«
Everyone in Sweden knows the classic ‘Dammsugare’ punch rolls – the English translation is ‘hoover’. This is partly due to the appearance of the first appliances in the 1920s, but also because of what a hoover has inside: Crumbs. And that’s exactly what the popular punch rolls contain – a mixture of cake crumbs. Flavoured with arrack, covered in bright green marzipan and with a chocolate coating on both ends, these little no-bake rolls are simply delicious. We are therefore absolutely convinced that Sweden is definitely worth a stopover in November as part of our Chocolate Journey 2024.

Traditionally eaten at New Year, they have now become a real trend and are popular as a dessert or snack at any time. The soft balls are made from glutinous rice flour and do not need to be baked. Our version is filled with a delicious chocolate-hazelnut ganache.
