It was a glittering night in Düsseldorf. With a great happy ending for VIVANI. We won the 16th German Sustainability Award.
In cooperation with the DIHK, the German Federal Ministry for the Environment and other partners, the DNP once again honoured Germany’s most sustainable companies this year. We actually made it to the final in the “Bakery & Confectionery” category and were able to prevail in the final straight against established organic pioneers and industry partners such as Allos Hof-Manufaktur and Bohlsener Mühle, who would certainly have deserved the award just as much as we did.
“Our focus on certified organic raw materials, long-term supply relationships and quality motivates us to and this award is a valuable recognition of our commitment. We sincerely thank everyone who has supported us on this journey – our partners, customers, our great team and, of course, the DNP committee for honouring our commitment with this award,” explains Andreas Meyer, founder and Managing Director of VIVANI manufacturer EcoFinia GmbH. “At this point, I would particularly like to thank my business partner Cord Budde and the team at Weinrich Schokoladenfabrik, without whom it would be impossible to source certified organic raw materials. In addition, the strong sustainability team at Weinrich – Jelena Radeljic, Julia Möller and Mayari Chua Soto – supported us significantly in our activities with great commitment and expertise.”
Andreas Meyer is thus crowning his life’s work towards the end of his active career, which he will pass on to his son Noel in the future. Noel Meyer symbolically received the coveted award at the award ceremony in Düsseldorf.

The team led by Andreas Meyer and Managing Director Gerrit Wiezoreck has been committed for many years to promoting organic farming in the countries of origin of cocoa, and is involved in prevention projects to combat exploitative child labour (e.g. Ecole Amitié) and runs its own direct trade cocoa project in the Dominican Republic with the “Sustainable Organic Cocoa Project”. VIVANI is currently launching its first Demeter chocolate range. The first high-quality Demeter chocolate under €3. “The aim is to make premium products, which are made from organic or Demeter-certified ingredients, accessible to a wide audience,” says Andreas Meyer.
