These Chocolate Cherry Power Balls, also known as energy balls or bliss balls, are ideal for providing a quick energy boost and lifting your mood. The simple recipe uses alternative sweeteners and contains no granulated sugar. The aromatic VIVANI chocolate "Fine Dark 75% Cocoa" with coconut blossom sugar is mixed with dried cherries, freshly roasted hazelnuts and fat-reduced cocoa powder in a blender to form a mixture that can be easily shaped by hand. This energy-rich snack contains important micronutrients, antioxidants and unsaturated fatty acids, is vegan and can be prepared in a flash. It is suitable for all situations in which the body needs a quick energy boost, e.g. before or after training, on the go, when concentrating or even during PMS.

The VIVANI Fine Dark 75% Cocoa variety is ideal for all cakes and snacks that need to be sweetened alternatively. Instead of granulated sugar, the bar contains only coconut blossom sugar, which adds light notes of malt and caramel. These harmonise particularly well with the mildly aromatic organic cocoa from Panama that is used in this bar. Together with fat-reduced cocoa powder, this chocolate provides a strong cocoa flavour in the chocolate cherry power balls, which harmonises very well with the tart, fruity aromas of the dried cherries and hazelnuts.

RECIPE: CHOCOLATE CHERRY POWER BALLS
Ingredients
1 cup
dried sour cherries
1 cup
whole hazelnuts
80 g
VIVANI Fine Dark 75% Cocoa chocolate
2 tbsp
VIVANI Fine Cocoa Powder (fat-reduced)
2 tbsp
maple syrup
3 tbsp
water
1 pinch
salt

Cut the dried cherries into small pieces. Roast the hazelnuts in a pan.

Place all ingredients – except for the water – in a high-powered blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add water as needed; the amount may vary depending on the moisture content of the cherries.

With wet hands, form small balls from the mixture.
Tip: The power balls can also be frozen without any problems.
