When it comes to the packaging of our chocolate bars, snack bars and couvertures, we dispense with questionable packaging materials, such as plastic and aluminium, but completely use eco-friendly packaging material instead.

It may come as a surprise, but the packaging film used for our chocolate is not actually made of plastic, despite it looking almost identical. It is in fact made of NatureFlex™ – a natural film made from renewable raw materials (certified according to DIN CERTCO Registration-No. 7H0037). This material represents an innovation in packaging: it offers the same high level of protection for products as PE film or aluminium foil. The natural packaging is produced using sustainably sourced wood fibre, as such it can be simply disposed of in garden compost heaps or in the residual waste.

The paper and cardboard packaging used for the chocolate bars is also FSC® certified and printed using mineral oil-free inks.

DISPOSAL INFORMATION:

The film packaging used for your VIVANI chocolate can be fully home composted (“OK compost HOME”-certified by TÜV Austria). It decomposes completely under perfect composting conditions within 50 days.

If you do not have a compost or want to dispose of the film in another way, please ask your local waste management company for the correct disposal of cellulose film.
