What would a great Sunday breakfast be without hazelnut chocolate spread, a favourite with young and old alike? The sweet spread is also a must in pastries such as croissants or on crêpes. Our quick and super simple hazelnut chocolate spread has a very high content of hazelnuts and is particularly creamy thanks to the oil the nuts contain. Roasting the hazelnuts yourself creates a wonderful flavour that a store-bought spread cannot match so quickly. All you need is a powerful blender that can chop the hard nuts well.
Ingredients
For a 250 g screw-top jar
150 g
whole hazelnuts
5 tbsp
sunflower oil
80 g

01
Roast the hazelnuts in a pan over a low/medium heat. Leave to cool briefly.
02
Place in a kitchen towel / tea towel and rub the nuts against each other. This makes it easy to remove the nut skins.
03
Place the hazelnuts and oil in a high-speed blender and blend until you have a thick hazelnut cream.
04
Carefully melt the chocolate in a bain-marie and add to the pureed hazelnuts together with the icing sugar. Blend everything again until you have a smooth spread.
05
Pour the spread into a screw-top jar, store in a cool place (but not in the fridge) and consume within a short time.
